À la Carte allows customers to order any meal on any day, offering maximum flexibility. An À la Carte order can include:

Meals from the daily changing menu
Meals from the periodically changing menu
Meals from the fixed menu
Extras

Products available in À la carte can be organized into categories, and customers can filter meals using tags such as Cold, Hot, Sweet, Spicy, Fish, Meat, etc.

À la Carte supports meals in various portion sizes, both for those created directly within the menu and those selected from the meal database. The system offers three flexible pricing options for meals within À la Carte:

A fixed price per meal type for a specific portion size
An individual price for each meal in the menu
A hybrid model – a fixed price for meal types, plus individual prices for selected meals (e.g., from the fixed menu or meals with a significantly higher or lower food cost)

For À la Carte orders, you can define the following settings:

A minimum daily meal value
A minimum number of meals per day
Additional package cost added to the selected meals

À la Carte orders are fully supported in all kitchen reports and production cycles.

To introduce À la Carte in your meal plan offerings, follow these steps:

Decide if meals will be available in one portion size or multiple sizes (and specify the sizes).
Copy meals from your existing meal plans into the À la Carte menu. If you already offer a meal plan with menu selections, the quickest way to set up À la Carte is by copying those meals directly into the À la Carte menu.
Add a new fixed menu with meals that can be ordered every day, such as sandwiches, desserts, soups, juices, etc.
Set the prices for different meal types and/or individual meals.
Organize meals into categories according to your preferences.
Publish the À la Carte meal plan.
